Introduction
Our very first client, First Class Lacrosse is an elite lacrosse training company from Deemer Class and Matt Dunn which seeks to elevate the resources available to coaches, players and parents. They strive to provide the tools needed to be successful on the field and off of it. Deemer and Matt believe that players who go through the FCL program and work with their coaches will not only get the best lacrosse specific training, but will walk away better people.
Challenge
When I first started working with Deemer Class and the FCL team in January 2021, the biggest issue was their disjointed backend system. Multiple software solutions, countless subscriptions, and various roles led to a chaotic environment. Simply put, there were too many cooks in the kitchen while their growth was skyrocketing. They needed help with their backend ‘enterprise setup’ and someone who could improve it without interrupting their momentum. That’s where TLMC thrives.
Solutions
Immediately, we trimmed the fat on the budget by removing non-essential software, subscriptions, and tools. We implemented HubSpot’s CRM to become the central nervous system for FCL’s contact database, email marketing, and website. Goodbye MailChimp, Linktree, Excel sheets, and WordPress (along with their pricey developers). For a fraction of the cost, FCL consolidated down to one subscription: HubSpot. We started working smarter, not harder (with great leadership from Matt Dunn).

Solution 1 - HubSpot's CRM
I like to refer to this as the Swiss Army Knife of marketing. It’s not just for digital marketing; it’s for all marketing. Whether you’re a small business selling t-shirts or pushing pencils at Coca-Cola HQ, the power of HubSpot’s CRM cannot be understated with its Contacts, Properties, Forms, Tasks, and Automations. You become your own maker in shaping the future success of your company. -
Solution 2 - HubSpot's CMS
In my opinion, this tool is the best bang for your buck amongst all website solution options. The integration of your website pages, landing pages, forms, contact database, branding, blog, and email automations holds immense value. It becomes a self-running marketing arm of your company once set up correctly. And again, it’s bundled together at one price, so stop overpaying for single-function software. -
Solution 3 - Slack, Google, Zapier
I call this the Holy Trinity. The power of these three inexpensive tools can act as multiple employees when used correctly. Deemer, Matt, and the rest of the team at FCL have been able to increase their number of events, send out more marketing emails, produce more content, and connect with more players across the country by mastering the use of the Holy Trinity.
